Markolf Brumlich studied Prehistorical and Classical Archaeology and Medieval History at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. After several positions in archaeological heritage management in Brandenburg (Germany) he has been working in the DFG-Project “Iron Production in the Pre-Roman Iron Age in Northern Middle Europe. The Example of the Teltow” at the Freie Universität Berlin from 2009 to 2013. Since 2012 he has been member of research project (A-5-1) Iron Smelting in the Teltow. His main research focus is on metalworking and settlement in the Pre-Roman Iron Age.
