Since 2008 Matthias Wemhoff is director of the museum for Vor- und Frühgeschichte in Berlin. He is also head of the cultural heritage preservation in Berlin. Before he was director of the Kaiserpfalzmuseum in Paderborn and the Westfälisches Landesmuseum für Klosterkultur at the Kloster Dalheim. Since 2010 he also holds a honorary professorship at the Freie Universität Berlin. In Topoi Matthias Wemhoff is researcher within the subgroup for museums in Area E.
