Saskia Lingthaler studied Mathematics and Classical Philology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She worked as a student assistant for various Institutes, such as the Institute for Numeric Mathematics, the Institute for Church History and the Institute for Ancient Greek Philology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Since 2014 Saskia Lingthaler has been a doctoral fellow at the Excellence Cluster Topoi in the research group (B-5) Personal authorization of knowledge and has been participating within the the doctoral program “History of Ancient Sciences” (HistAS) of the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS). Her research focuses on the question whether and in which form diagrams in ancient scientific treatises occured and how they where applied.
