Jan Krause

Jan Krause is physical geographer with focus on geomorphological and hydrological aspects. Since January 2008 Jan Krause works as coordinator of the Research Area A “Spatial Environment and Conceptual Design” in the Excellence Cluster TOPOI at Freie Universität Berlin. Furthermore he is coordinator of the Graduate Group Landscapes within the Research Group A-I “Central Places and their Environment”. Due to the broad cooperation and experiences in TOPOI he was able to expand his skills towards the field of landscape archaeology.

Since October 2011 he coordinates in addition the graduate program Landscape Archaeology (LAA) at the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS), Freie Universität Berlin.
