Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrike Wulf-Rheidt

Ulrike Wulf-Rheidt is the director of the architecture department of the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut (DAI). Since 2009 she has been  Honorary Professor of Classical Archaeology at Freie Universität Berlin. Her research focuses on Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine settlements, including Roman and late Roman palace architecture, the building history of the Porta Nigra in Trier and the design of methods within archaeologic building research. Furthermore, she investigates the imperial palaces in Rome, the late Antique imperial palace architecture in Serbia and the urban development of Simitthus in Tunisia.
