Since August 2009 Friederike Seyfried is the director of the Egyptian Museum and Papyrus collection in Berlin. Before that, she was the curator of the Egyptian Museum at the University of Leipzig. Since 2011 she holds a honorary professorship for Egyptology at the Freie University of Berlin. In Topoi Friederike Seyfried is member of the research group “museums” within area E-CSG-4. This subsection of research Area E seeks i.a. to survey and compare recent strategies and technologies of presentation in order to develop an appropriate strategy for further exhibitions and presentations of ancient spaces and spatial concepts.
