Christoph Helmig ist seit Oktober 2008 Juniorprofessor für Klassische Philologie (Schwerpunkt Spätantike) an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin und seit September 2009 Co-Direktor der Graduate School of Ancient Philosophy (zusammen mit Jonathan Beere). Seit Januar 2011 ist er zudem Direktor des Ancient Philosophy & Science Network (APSN), eines internationalen Promotionsnetzwerks der Universitäten HU Berlin, Chicago, Leuven, Princeton und Toronto.
