Chiara Ferella studied classical philology and literature at the University of L`Aquila and received a PhD from the University of Pisa in 2011. While studying she has been visiting student in Cambridge and Munich. Furthermore she was appointed post-doctoral fellow at the Munich School of Ancient Philosophy. Her research interests comprise classical philology, ancient Greek philosophy and religion, Pre-Socratics, Orphism and Pythagoreanism as well as ancient medicine. During her fellowship at Topoi Chiara Ferella carries out her research within the research group (C-2) Space and Metaphor. Main focus of her work is the revising of her upcoming publication and a project on pythagorean symbola.
