Marianne Mödlinger is a prehistoric archaeologist focussing on Bronze Age metal finds from the Baltic States to Central and Eastern Europe. She has been studying the manufacture and usage of Bronze Age weapons, as well as the transfer of technology and the development and impact of weaponry for societies in intense collaboration with museums, research institutions, and universities.

Within Topoi Marianne Mödlinger works on the Digital Atlas of innovations. There, she prepares a database of the finds of prehistoric protective weapons and writes a comment for the dynamic map thereof.
