Mateusz Frankiewicz studied archaeology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. In 2016 he was awarded a doctoral fellowship by the BerGSAS where he is member of the program Landscape Archaeology and Architecture (LAA). Besides this, his project is also settled within Topoi`s research group (A-6) Economic Space. His thesis investigates the regionality of the Przeworsk culture in northern and eastern central Europe in the late iron age by examining characteristic artefacts, such as ornaments, tools, buildings or settlements.
