Francesca Balossi Restelli is a researcher of Near Eastern Prehistory at the University “La Sapienza” in Rome. She is  member of the MAIAO Excavation project at Arslantepe and Zeytinli Bahçe in Turkey (Missione Archeologica Italiana in Anatolia Orientale). Her research focuses on Neolithic and Chalcolithic developments and social dynamics, pottery technology and function as well as food procurement and consumption.
