The research will focus to on the material culture of the ancient Anuradhapura period, Sri Lanka. This investigation aims to localize the origin of mineral resources (sources), to reconstruct their production techniques, the distribution of raw material as well as processed material and their usage. The selected mineral resources will be restricted to building material (rock) and ores. The research on ores will focus on iron- and copper ores.
