Annette Sundermeyer, M.A.

Annette Sundermeyer studied Arabistics and African Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. While studying she worked as a student assistant for the research project “Ancient Classifiers in Diachronic Perspective” by the German-Israeli Foundation and HU Berlin. Besides that she worked as a translator of Arabic and German for the refugee relief of the Diakonie Potsdam. Since 2011 she has been a doctoral fellow at Topoi and has been participating in the docotral program “Ancient Languages and Texts” (ALT) of the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS). Annette Sundermeyer`s investigations focus on the reception of egyptian hieroglyphics from an arabic perspective.
