Henry Stadhouders is a scholar from the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Utrecht University.
His researches focus on Ancient Egyptian, Coptic, Akkadian, biblical Hebrew and Aramaic, classical languages, religions and cultures of the ancient world and old and new testament textual criticism. Furthermore, he investigates the interrelations of magic and medicine in ancient Babylon. During his research stay at Topoi Henry Stadhouders intensifies his work on ancient medicine in collaboration with the research groups (D-4) Immaterial Causes and (D-2) Mapping Body and Soul.
