Prof. Dr. Bernd Seidensticker

Bernd Seidensticker is professor emeritus of Classical Philology at the Freie Universität Berlin and chairman of the Commission for Ancient Studies at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW). His research focuses on archaic and classical Greek literature, especially on drama, and on the interrelation between poetry and society; a second main focus is on the reception of Antiquity in modern times. Within Topoi, Bernd Seidensticker works on the constitution and representation of spaces in literary contexts. |
