Marvin Schreiber studied Near Eastern studies and Egyptology at Universität Münster. From 2012 to 2017 he was doctoral fellow at Topoi and the Berlin Graduate School for Ancient Studies within the program “History of Ancient Sciences” (HistAS).
His dissertation project dealed with the Astrological Medicine of the Late Babylonian period (6th-1st century BCE) and the different types of cuneiform texts related to this form of Mesopotamian science.
