Chiara Schoch graduated from Near Eastern Archaeology at Freie Universität Berlin and is currently writing her PhD Thesis on early Wool in Mesopotamia. Her main interest is to understand social behavior, economy, production and craft organization. In order to investigate those and their dependencies she is studying the procurement and processing of Wool from raw material to product, even if most of the evidence is of perishable material and long since decayed. Her project is based within the research group (A-4) The Textile Revolution.
Chiara Schoch also participates in the PhD program “Landscape Archaeology and Architecture” (LAA) at Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS).
