Eftychia Rompoti studied Archaeology, History and History of Art at the University of Ioannina and at the Freie Universität Berlin. In 2007 she wrote her master’s thesis about the use of images in political propaganda (Propagandakunst auf Plakaten). As a doctoral fellow she worked within the research group (C-II) Images by studying early ancient Greek painting on Pinakes. Her investigations aimed to specify the modes of constructing and representing space in a pre-perspective visual system in terms of iconographical, iconological and formal analysis.
