Eftychia Rompoti

Lehrbereich Klassische Archäologie (Winckelmann-Institut, HU)

Eftychia Rompoti studied Archaeology, History and History of Art at the University of Ioannina and at the Freie Universität Berlin. In 2007 she wrote her master’s thesis about the use of images in political propaganda (Propagandakunst auf Plakaten). Since 2009, she has been working as a doctoral fellow in the research Group C-II “Images”, writing her doctoral thesis about early ancient Greek painting on Pinakes. The study aims to specify the modes of constructing and representing space in a pre-perspective visual system in terms of iconographical, iconological and formal analysis.
