Lisa Marie Roemer

Institut für Kunst- und Bildgeschichte (HU)

Lisa Roemer was born in Berlin and studied art history and Italian philology in Berlin and Rome. During her studies she developed a deep interest in the art and culture of Renaissance Rome, whose cartographical representation has already been the topic of her master’s thesis in art history. Within Topoi she is writing her doctoral thesis about the perception and organization of Rome’s  urban space, mainly its ancient monuments and sites, in written and visual documents from 1400 to 1600.
