Werner Röcke is Professor of older German literature at the Humboldt-University Berlin. Prof. Röcke is a member of Topoi’s research group E-I; he enquires into the transformation of ancient spaces and spatial concepts in medieval literature. Prof. Röcke is particularly interested in the fictionalization and resemantization of ancient spaces and in representations of the afterlife, based on ancient spatial concepts. |
