Ilyas Özşen, M.A.

After achieving a bachelor in Archeology from Philipps-Universität Marburg, Ilyas continued his studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and completed the master program of Archeology in 2013 with a thesis about the anonymous denarii of Vitellius Imperator Germanicus. While studying he was working as a tutor and assistant editor for the supplement 8 of the CMS edition “Corpus der Minoischen und Mykenischen Siegel Marburg”. From 2012 to 2014 he has been a research assistant at Münzkabinett der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin. He started a doctoral fellowship at Topoi and Berliner Antike Kolleg in fall 2014. His investigations on ancient unequal-armed weighing scales are part of the doctoral program “History of Ancient Sciences” (HistAS).
