Karl Georg Niebergall is Professor for Logic and Philosophy. After his studies of mathematics in Darmstadt, he began studying logic and science theory at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. In 1995 he received a Ph D in philosophy with a work entitled “Zur Metamathematik nichtaxiomatisierbarer Theorien” which was awarded with the Stegmüller-Price of the Gesellschaft für Analytische Philosophie. In 1997 he was visiting scholar at Stanford University. In 1998 he was appointed Oberassistent in the Institute for Philosophy at LMU München. In 2002 he habilitated with a work on the foundations of mathematics. Since October 2008 he has been Professor in the Institute for Philosophy at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
At Topoi he carries out his research by collaborating with research group (D-3) Theoretical Concepts of Space.
