Elise Luneau is archaeologist with a specialization in Bronze Age societies of southern Central Asia and northern Iran (3rd-2nd millenium BC). In 2010 she received her doctoral degree at the University Paris 1 – Pantheon Sorbonne. Since 2012, she has worked as research associate in the ANR-DFG project “Roxiana”, with the purpose of a better characterization of the Bronze Age ceramic production in Central Asia. Her research also focuses on gender study and social differentiation, the evolution of the urban societies, and the interactions between “nomadic” and “sedentary” peoples in the region.
