Tilman Lenssen-Erz is the head of rock art research at African Archaeology, Institute of Prehistoric Archaeology at the University of Cologne. His special research interests are rock art of southwestern Africa (Namibia) and Sahara (eastern Sahara). He is also interested in a cooperation with bodies of Community Based Cultural Resource Management. Lately he focusses on textual archaeology and human and environment relations.
