Jana Lehmann is a doctoral fellow of Research Group E-I “Spaces of Motion” and a doctoral student at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her doctoral thesis is part of the Research Group’s “Semantics of the Beyond”-project and focuses on John Milton’s epic poem Paradise Lost, which is set in Heaven and Hell, the cosmos and the Garden of Eden. Further interests include English literature and culture of the Early Modern period, especially Shakespeare, and 20th-century crime fiction.
