Simona Lamante

Simona Lamante studied philology and ancient history with a concentration in Near Eastern Archaeology and Ancient Oriental Cultures at the University of Florence. In 2005, she wrote her Master’s thesis on “Hittite Oracle Queries of the City of Nerik” in the field of Hittitology. After receiving her Master’s degree, she participated in research at the University of Florence and began working with the HU Berlin. Since 2008, she has been working in Topoi on her dissertation on the historical reconstruction of the ancient Northern Anatolian  city of Nerik in the time of the Hittite kingdom.
