Fabian Pascal Horn

Fabian Horn studied Greek philology, Latin philology and ancient history in Munich and St. Andrews (Scotland). In 2013 he completed his Ph.D. thesis on the Homeric poems. Form April 2013 to October 2014 he has been a postdoctoral research fellow in research group (C-2) Space and Metaphor focusing on spatial and mythological metaphors in Hellenistic poetry. His research field is classical philology, his research interests are ancient epic poetry and Hellenistic poetry. In 2014 he was appointed researcher in the departement “Griechische und Lateinische Philologie” at LMU Munich where he carries out his research on theories of metaphor and their application to ancient Greek literature. Besides that he prepares his habilitation project which focuses on metaphors in Homer and early Greek literature.
