Sven Greinke`s is dissertation dealt with the praise of the emperor in panegyric writings in late antiquity. He was involved in the research group (C-IV) City Spaces, whose research interest was mainly the urban areas of Rome and Milan from different disciplinary perspectives. He tried to add this line of vision through his question about an aspect of the “province” of the empire, which was presented to him by the origin of the authors of the XII Panegyrici Latini. His interest was in addition to the praise of the Emperor in the form of “Representation of space” (for example social interactions, interpretations of nature, movements in space), hence the self-positioning of the authors by the evident in the panegyric writings literary concepts.
