Dr. Alessandra Gilibert

Alessandra Gilibert is an archaeologist specialized in the ancient Near East and director of the Dragon Stones Archaeological Project in Armenia. Her research focuses on urban design and visual culture, which she interprets as materializations of power relations and socio-political dynamics. Alessandra Gilibert completed her PhD in Berlin, where she lives and works since 2004. Before that, she studied Archaeology, Assyriology and Historical Anthropology in Venice, Freiburg i.Br., and Tübingen.
