Fedora Filippi is an expert in particular on urban archaeology and has edited numerous academic publications, especially in the field of Roman archaeology. She has worked as an archaeologist and coordinator at the Soprintendenza Speciale per i Beni Archeologici di Piemonte since 1980 and as scientific director of the Domus Aurea since 2009. She pays particular intention to the conservation and restoration of the Domus Aurea, the Campus Martius, Trastevere, and numerous excavations in the municipal area of Rome.
