Hagan Brunke is a mathematician, physicist, and assyriologist. From 2008 to 2010, he was member of the research group (D-III-2) Early Writing. Since 2011 he has conducted research within the research group (B-2) XXL – Monumentalized Knowledge. His main research interests are Sumerian economy, especially of the Ur III period, and Babylonian mathematics.
