Dr. Janne Arp

Janne Arp-Neumann is an Egyptologist from the Seminar für Ägyptologie und Koptologie at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. Her research focuses on the analysis of the social dimensions of necropolises, the ancient Egyptian world view as well as the discourse history of the Egyptian religion. At Topoi she contributed to the investigations of the research group (E-CSG-III) Spread of Knowledge by working on a project which dealt with the idea of utopias (“Utopia. Annäherungen an den vorgestellten Ort”). Together with Jan Wöpking she organized the conference “Bilder vom Nirgendwo. Über Utopie und Kartographie” in June 2010.
