Stefan Altekamp is a classical archaeologist. He is lecturer at the institute for classical archaeology at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Altekamp follows a wide range of interests, which are for example theory in archaeology, posthumanistic classical archaeology, archives of the past, history and perception of archaeology, archaeology and popular culture, archaeology and politics, archaeology and ideology, archaeology and its scientific documentation, classical archaeology and its literary lore, archaeology of Greece in geometric and archaic time, early grecian architecture, Vitruv, Archaeology of the Roman Provinces and the archaeology of the antique Northafrica (Marok, Algeria, Tunesia and Libya).

In Topoi he works in the Cross-Sectional-Group V Space and Collective Identities, and in E-I Knowledge of Ancient Spaces as Processed by the Arts.
