The Department of Antiquities, Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and the Excellence Cluster Topoi hosted an international symposium on the theme of public engagement with collections of the Ancient World in European museums on March 16-17, 2015. In this two day symposium, museum curators and pedagogues as well as scholars of the University of Cambridge and the Excellence Cluster Topoi looked at the range of strategies and ideas currently employed by European Museums with Ancient World collections to engage their public with aspects of ancient material culture.
