Abbas Moghaddam is an archaeologist from the Iranian Center for Archaeological Research (ICAR). He received a PhD from the University of Sydney and has done extensive field research in several regions of Iran, mostly in the Iranian southwest. His publications include various surveys, such as landscape surveys, early irrigation and the complex chronologies and comparative stratigraphies of Iran. During his research stay at Topoi he collaborates with research project (A-6-2) Spheres of Exchange in Southern Iran by giving new insights into the research of ancient ceramics from Tepe Sohz which have been archived at FU Berlin since the early seventies and have stayed unevaluated until today.
