Ulrich Huttner (born 1965) is working on a database of Christian inscriptions in Asia Minor and Greece. He is exploring early Christianity in Phrygia and the Maeander Valley.

Cilliers Breytenbach is professor for the literature, history and religion of Early Christianity at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. His research interests cover the interpretation of St. Mark’s Gospel, Greco-Roman metaphors early Christians used to express their views on salvation, and the change in ancient Christian systems of belief, action and institutions since its Jewish origins. In Topoi 1 Cilliers Breytenbach was spokesperson of Area B, initiated the epigraphic database ICAM (Inscriptiones Christianae Asiae Minoris Antiqua) and investigated the religious definition of space and transfer of knowledge in ancient Lycaonian Christianity. Currently he expands his research into the “Authorization of Early Christian Knowledge Claims in Greece” (Reseach Project B-5-3) and into “Creating Christian Concepts of Space” through metaphor (Reseach Project C-2-1). He is responsible for the Database ICA and as spokesperson (HU) of the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS), he is member of the Board of Directors of the Berliner Antike-Kolleg.
